I made drudge. Amazing. hoax? Thank you drudgereport for clarifying the link.
My prayers to the families and those affected by today's events.
Edit: I apologize for any confusion caused by today's events. The purpose of this post was not to gloat, but rather show the sheer ridiculousness of how bad communication can affect one's credibility. (Read: Duke case) For those claiming that this was a elaborate hoax, my journal has been around since 2001 with over 3500 posts over these past 6 years. Once again, I offer my condolences to all those at Virginia Tech. Go Hokies.
Edit:
Cary W: in a panic people crave information, regardless if it's misinformation
Edit: I heard they showed my pretty face and Miss UMP.
Edit (200704170139): I would like to acknowledge Mr. Preston at HotAir. He had the journalistic professionalism to try to contact me before posting my journal to the rest of the world. His message was lost in VT webmail as all bandwidth to VT services were "hoarded". I appreciate their clarification in this matter.
Edit (200704170212): I would also like to thank ABC news for portraying me in an accurate manner: http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/200
Edit (200704170217): With apologies to the CS lab. I suppose the server isn't digg/drudge rated.
Edit (200704170718): Last night was quite a night indeed. I could hardly sleep. And now, I think my siblings are scared to go to school because this whole situation is very confusing to them. Never before has our family dealt with death threats and had to turn off the phone because of the constant barrage of phone calls. Has this affected our way of living? So far, I'd say yeah. Also, I would like to acknowledge drudgereport for removing the "hoax" part of their link. I am starting to have more faith that the media isn't blowing people out of proportion.
Edit (200704170802): I would like to acknowledge Wired (I subscribe to the magazine!) for their journalistic integrity of not rushing to conclusions and posting my name: http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2007/0
